Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced Red Hat Trainer who is fluent in German to deliver high-quality training on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and general Linux / Unix system administration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in both RHEL and Linux / Unix systems, excellent teaching abilities, and fluency in German to effectively communicate and engage with our German-speaking audience. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, hands-on training sessions, preparing students for Red Hat certifications, and providing ongoing support to ensure their success in mastering Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct Training Sessions : Deliver instructor-led training (ILT) in German on RHEL and Linux / Unix system administration, focusing on installation, configuration, security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Curriculum Delivery : Follow and, when necessary, customize the official Red Hat curriculum to meet the specific needs of German-speaking students while ensuring adherence to Red Hat's standards.
  • Hands-on Labs : Facilitate practical labs and exercises in both virtual and physical environments, guiding students through real-world scenarios and solutions.
  • Assessments & Evaluation : Assess student progress through quizzes, exams, and practical tasks, providing constructive feedback to ensure student success and comprehension.
  • Certification Preparation : Prepare students for Red Hat certification exams, including RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) and RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), while offering guidance on career development.
  • Client Engagement : Work with clients to understand their training requirements, provide tailored solutions, and ensure high-quality training delivery.
  • Documentation : Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, slides, and lab exercises, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with the latest RHEL features and best practices.
  • Support : Provide ongoing support to students during and after the training sessions, answering questions, solving issues, and ensuring they can apply the concepts learned in real-world environments.
  • Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Linux / Unix technologies, RHEL updates, and training methodologies to continually improve the training experience.
  • Team Collaboration : Collaborate with other trainers, technical experts, and support teams to share best practices and improve training programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Technical Expertise :
  • Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration, including installation, configuration, and management of RHEL environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux / Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux networking, security, system troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with RHEL tools such as YUM, SELinux, Systemd, and Ansible for automation.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, OpenStack) is a plus.
  • Language Skills :
  • Fluency in German (both written and spoken) is mandatory, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts in German.
  • Proficiency in English is a plus, especially for communicating with international teams or for reading English-language materials.
  • Certifications :
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and / or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification required.
  • Red Hat Certified Trainer (RHCT) or Red Hat Certified Instructor (RHCI) certification is highly preferred.
  • Teaching and Communication Skills :
  • Proven experience in delivering technical training, particularly in Linux / Unix or RHEL environments.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging manner in German.
  • Experience in creating training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on labs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and support students in their learning journey.
  • Soft Skills :
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Patience and adaptability to work with students at varying skill levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
