A leading life sciences consulting firm is seeking a Consultant for LIMS Evaluation and Recommendation in a Bioprocess Lab. The role is remote and involves defining requirements, evaluating LIMS systems, and preparing a detailed recommendation. Ideal candidates will have experience in LIMS systems evaluation, knowledge of regulatory standards, and strong analytical skills. The position has a start date of 18.08.2025 and a duration of 12 months.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in evaluating, implementing, and managing LIMS systems, ideally in a life sciences environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and validation processes.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

• Define business, technical, and compliance requirements of BTRL-DSE.
• Evaluate and compare LIMS systems (SampleManager and IDBS Polar) on various factors.
• Prepare an evaluation report and recommendation for the best solution.

Consultant for LIMS Evaluation and Recommendation in a Bioprocess Lab (EU) (M / F / D)

Tasks :

• Clearly define the business, functional, technical, and compliance requirements of the BTRL-DSE
• Evaluate both SampleManager and IDBS Polar on :
• Functional capabilities aligned with lab workflows
• Total cost of ownership (licensing, implementation, ongoing support)
• Implementation complexity and timelines
• Validation and compliance requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11). The solution will be used for non-GxP projects, but we consider implementing it closely following the GxP requirements (and potentially validating properly)
• IT infrastructure, integration, and ongoing support needs in particular focusing on required human-resources as IT application support
• Provide a detailed recommendation supported by comparative analysis, including close vendor engagement
• Gather requirements through workshops and interviews with stakeholders
• Assess existing LIMS solutions (Thermo Fisher SampleManager and IDBS Polar) regarding functionality, costs, validation, and risks
• Conduct comparative analysis and prepare an evaluation report
• Develop a recommendation for the best solution, including decision rationale
• Documentation and project based communication with stakeholders

Qualification :

Experience in evaluating, implementing and managing LIMS systems, ideally in a life sciences environment

Knowledge of regulatory standards (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and validation processes

Analytical thinking, structured working style, and good communication skills

Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
