Job summary

SAP SE in Germany is seeking a highly motivated software engineer to help build AI-powered agents and automated workflows. You will contribute to a platform that makes common capabilities reusable, reducing boilerplate for engineers. The role requires a solid CS background, strong Python or Java skills, understanding of software architecture, and exposure to LLMs.

You will work in a bilingual environment with ATF teams in Berlin and St. Leon-Rot.

What you‘ll bring

Essential qualifications (mandatory)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Solid programming skills in Python or Java
• Solid understanding of software architecture concepts such as layers, APIs, and separation of concerns
• Exposure to large language models (LLMs) through studies, personal projects, or internships
• responsible for delivery of outcome of assigned projects or areas of responsibility
• You’re comfortable working in German and can communicate confidently in English.

The following experiences would be a plus:

• Experience with Cloude code, GitHub Co-pilot
• Software version control (e.g., GitHub, Git, etc.).
• GenAI development and agentic frameworks (e.g. LangGraph, crewAI)
• ML development (e.g. scikit-learn, Pandas, Keras, Pytorch, TensorFlow, etc.)

You will help build the foundation that turns manual engineering work into smart, automated AI agents/ workflows. Your work removes friction for other engineers by making common capabilities reusable instead of reimplemented over and over again.

You’ll contribute to a shared platform that enables teams to create and extend AI‑powered agents with much less effort. This helps engineers spend more time solving real problems and less time dealing with plumbing and setup.

The impact is immediate and visible. Better automation means faster investigations, more reliable systems, and fewer interruptions in daily engineering work. You help teams trust their tools, scale their solutions, and work more efficiently every day.
