Location: Peterborough Depot

Salary: £37,300 + meal allowance (£5 per day) + £1k retention bonus

Start Time: 03:00

Shift: Monday to Friday (48 hrs)

Keenan Recycling, part of Biffa, provides food waste collection services for businesses including restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. We also collect food waste on behalf of waste management companies, brokers, and councils. Using high-end technology, we process food waste by transporting it to anaerobic digestion plants, where it is converted into biogas for electricity, heat, or biofuel for transport.

The role of an LGV Driver involves collecting and emptying food waste wheelie bins on a multi-collection basis.

This is a physically demanding role requiring early starts and outdoor work in all weather conditions. It is suitable for those who enjoy working independently outdoors and want to contribute to environmental and community well-being.

Duties:

• Multi-collections of food waste wheelie bins
• Providing excellent customer service
• Covering weekend work when needed
• Assuming additional duties as required

Key skills & experience:

• Class C Licence holder
