Your new job includes

As a Legal Counsel (m/f/d), you will be responsible for advising and supporting all company departments, particularly Purchasing and Sales, in all contractual, commercial, and corporate law matters of Gebr. Heinemann and its international subsidiaries.

In particular, you will

• conduct legal (pre-)examinations and assessments of various (international) internal company legal matters
• support international tender and new business projects (including JV constellations) from a legal perspective and organize corporate housekeeping for the Heinemann Group
• provide advice and draft, review and negotiate, particularly commercial and procurement contracts, service agreements, and other legal documents
• monitor and analyze the potential impact of business-relevant legal issues and requirements, as well as deriving measures
• be jointly responsible for commissioning and managing external law firms and service providers
• handle and accompany regulatory procedures and potential court proceedings within the company, in coordination with and possibly accompanied by the supervisor
  
  

Preferred Profile

• Completed law degree, preferably with the second state examination or a comparable qualification (e.g. Master of Laws (LL.M.))
• Professional experience, ideally in an internationally operating trading company or a law firm
• Preferably experience in sanctions law, anti-corruption, compliance and/or corporate housekeeping or a general willingness to familiarise yourself with these and other unfamiliar areas at short notice
• Experience in managing service providers as well as in negotiating with international suppliers and customers
• Fluent knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
• High level of initiative and enjoyment of teamwork
• Interest in geopolitical contexts that influence the travel of various nationalities/countries
