Description Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your legal expertise as a trusted business partner to our Consumer Self Care International (CSCI) teams across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Central & Eastern European countries (the Central & East Cluster). As Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in contract drafting, negotiation, managing commercial transactions, and serving as a key legal partner to the commercial teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Strategy & Insights). The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial legal background with experience in the Consumer Self Care and/or pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you will work closely with the business to support various commercial transactions.

1. Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Manage the contracting process for Perrigo's broad portfolio of store brands and branded products, including retail agreements, supply contracts, distribution, and marketing agreements, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
2. Commercial Transactions: Support the CSCI Central & East Cluster in commercial sales and distribution transactions, acting as a strategic partner.
3. Legal Partner to Sales Team: Advise the sales team on legal matters such as pricing, promotional activities, sales agreements, and contract interpretation. Develop training on legal and compliance issues.
4. Business Development: Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, including due diligence and risk analysis.
5. Legal Advice: Offer legal counsel to management and stakeholders on operational, contractual, and risk management issues.
6. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align legal support with strategic goals.
7. Training and Education: Conduct legal and compliance training sessions, review policies, and ensure legal adherence.
8. Litigation and External Counsel Management: Support litigation efforts and manage external legal advisors to optimize value and maintain relationships.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor with a law degree (or equivalent).
• 5-8 years of legal experience, ideally with law firm and in-house roles within a publicly traded global organization.
• Proven success in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts in the Consumer Self Care or pharmaceutical industry.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Deep understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Excellent communication, legal research, and analytical skills.
