Job Description

Seeking an experienced legal counsel for its litigation and compliance team for the DACH region for a global IT company. The successful candidate will be required to manage potential commercial litigations in multiple jurisdictions independently, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, finding strategic solutions; and manage all compliance initiatives. Job responsibilities include:

  1. Analyze, advise, and manage internal stakeholders on potential disputes involving complex IT contracts. Excellent drafting skills with proficiency in English and German are required.
  2. Draft and review Compliance Checklists. Monitor regulatory changes that can impact IT companies and provide strategic solutions for implementing and managing the compliance program.
  3. Assess litigation and compliance risks, provide periodic reports, and suggest strategic solutions. Plan and ensure appropriate internal compliance controls for relevant EU Directives, whether already transposed or to be transposed in Germany in the future.
  4. Review and draft company policies in the region to ensure compliance with local laws. Provide advisory on local procedures.
  5. Support mergers and acquisitions and assist in drafting customer/vendor contracts.
  6. Provide training to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters. Manage and deliver periodic reports/MIS to management.
  7. Manage all legal correspondence, including translation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders for timely follow-up and closure.
  8. Take additional responsibility as Human Rights Officer as required under LKSG.
