Then we are looking for you. As Learning Manager your role will be to manage the learning needs of all employees based in your Sort Centre as well as on managing a team of trainers to execute the learning offer to our associates and managers.
In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be very close to the action and spending time on the warehouse floor with the teams who make our sites great. Amazon has seen rapid growth over the last few years and we plan to keep on growing.
The Learning Manager is responsible for DE based sites. This means a lot of new employees to train and coach and a lot of people to help stay curious and keep learning.
In this role, we are looking for a learning professional who has the ability and initiative to understand the business needs, analyze issues and influence solutions and outcomes. You work closely with the Senior Learning Program Manager to partner with operations and to ensure our customers’ needs are met. We are also looking for a team player who not only leverages their own Trainer team to respond effectively to a variety of training scenarios, but is able to work closely between the operations customer and a central EU team to effectively prioritize and deploy training programs based on customer need – from training processes at scale to ongoing leader development.
As an on-site Learning Manager you have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders. In this role, you will be essential to the growth and success of Amazon and our team members, from our hourly associates to our senior leaders.
This is an onsite role.
Please note that this role requires fluent German language skills.
Key job responsibilities
• End-to-end ownership of associate training across all levels based on training needs analysis in accordance with our tenets, ensuring highest quality of training
• Auditing the quality of training/coaching and defining improvement plans when necessary
• Recruiting, managing and developing a team of Trainers and Instructors, supporting them with their career development
• Ensuring positive and effective collaboration between the learning team and relevant stakeholders
• Analyzing and interpreting metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Ensuring effective onboarding and a positive onboarding experience across all associate levels
• Creating and updating learning materials/processes
• Providing training to the learning team on changes to learning materials/processes
• Acting as a proxy in the absence of the Senior Learning Program Manager
• Contributing to the development of EU wide training material/processes, working on projects with the regional team
• Ensuring L&D targets are met
- A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics or a technical field or 2 years Amazon tenure
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership

- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
- Experience with supporting tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, MS Excel and MS Access)
