A leading telecommunications company is looking for an Expert in Learning & Capability Development in Düsseldorf. Overview

Location: Dusseldorf

As an Expert in Learning & Capability Development (m/f/d), you will identify the development and training needs of internal employees. The focus is on the support and further development of our mandatory training for employees and managers. You will define and maintain training and product concepts in close coordination with the respective departments. Additionally, you will be responsible for other selected learning topics, such as the support of our "Go Insider Tools" and language training. You will communicate the requirements to external training providers in the form of a rough concept and manage the final development and approval of training concepts together with the supported department. You will communicate and market the training portfolio you manage to our internal employees. You will manage external training providers and suppliers.

What you’ll do
  • Successfully completed university studies, ideally with a focus on personnel (psychology, sociology, or business administration).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience and extensive expertise in the field of personnel development.
  • Relevant knowledge of HR processes, such as learning & development, didactics, performance management, and engagement.
  • Excellent consulting skills, conceptual strength, and experience in managing complex projects/processes.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written (C1 according to GER).
  • Working closely with other team members across the L&D department to ensure a seamless L&D experience for the learner.
  • Supporting learners in their learning journey through course recommendations and process support.
  • Coaching of employees.
  • Budget and resource planning and monitoring.
  • Consulting and support for HR BP.
  • Support interns & working students in the planning of training delivery.
  • Key local counterpart for Group VLO stakeholders and other OpCos.
  • Supplier management.
  • Provide advice and guidance to line managers on different learning initiatives.
What sets you apart
  • Master's degree, preferably with a focus on Human Resources (or alternative business disciplines), Pedagogy, or Work and Organizational Psychology.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in managing learning & development in preferably large organisations.
  • Excellent consulting skills, strong conceptual abilities.
  • Experience in managing complex projects.
  • Experience in managing external agencies.
  • Strong communication skills; presentation and moderation in both English and German.
  • Experience in collaborating with executives and management.
  • Experience in working closely with global stakeholders.
  • Expertise in the field of personnel development (sourcing, recruiting, learning, leadership development, engagement, performance management).
  • Basic knowledge of relevant HR tools and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in change and project management.
  • Strong conceptual abilities; confident handling of complexity.
  • Strong communication skills; strategic understanding and strategic thinking.
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken.

This position can be full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours).
