What you do as a Lead Structural Engineer

As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will work with demanding global clients and collaborate with colleagues worldwide. Our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) projects require advanced expertise beyond standard building features, allowing you to leverage skills in Parametric Design, Automated Engineering, and Augmented Design. You will play a key role in challenging projects, mainly data centers in Germany, within an expanding international engineering and consultancy firm focused on digital transformation. Your main responsibilities include:

• Perform calculations for complex steel, concrete, and timber structures, collaborating with the Consulting Engineer on designs;
• Handle and resolve complex technical client queries with the Consulting Engineer;
• Conduct checks and attend meetings with clients and contractors during project execution;
• Collaborate with colleagues and third parties on structural design aspects, ensuring technical and budgetary compliance;
• Review calculations and drawings, and manage your project administration and archiving.

Our global MCF team provides multidisciplinary consultancy services for data center clients, including colocation providers, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team comprises experts in electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology, working together to develop integrated designs for Data Centres. What you bring

You are proactive, result-oriented, and positive, with a flexible, problem-solving attitude. Additionally, you have:

• MSc in Structural/Civil Engineering, specializing in structural design of buildings;
• Strong knowledge of German (DIN) standards and engineering practices;
• At least 7 years of relevant experience at a German consultancy or engineering firm;
• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and occasionally to Budapest and Nijmegen;
• Proficiency in 3D calculation software, with strong customer orientation, technical knowledge, and analytical skills (preferably related to data centers);
• Proficiency in German and English; knowledge of Dutch, Polish, or Spanish is an advantage.
