Aether Biomedical in Germany seeks a Lead Solution Architect to drive a finance systems transformation, focusing on Oracle R12 integration and a scalable, secure architecture across a global organisation.

You will review proposed designs, define integration points and data flows, ensure ERP integration across treasury, consolidation, payroll and supplier management, and work with cybersecurity teams to reduce customisation.

Lead Solution Architect – Finance Systems & Integration

Overview

Our client is a global engineering services organisation operating across approximately 60 countries. Following recent investment and organisational change, the business is undertaking a major finance transformation to simplify and integrate a fragmented technology landscape built up through years of acquisition and organic growth.

The programme covers Oracle R12, wider ERP integration and a broader finance technology stack including treasury, consolidation, payroll, time recording, expenses and supplier management.

The client is looking for a Lead Solution Architect who can sit at the centre of this change, challenge proposed solutions, define the right integration approach and ensure systems are being designed in a way that is scalable, secure and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Lead solution architecture across a global finance systems transformation.

Define how Oracle R12 and wider finance platforms should integrate across the business.

Review proposed solutions and challenge where designs do not fit the overall architecture.

Define integration points, database mapping, data flows and single sources of truth.

Provide architectural input across treasury, consolidation, payroll, time recording, expenses and supplier management systems.

Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure proposed solutions are secure.

Help avoid unnecessary customisation, duplication of data or misuse of systems outside their intended purpose.

Support stakeholders in making practical, commercially sensible architecture decisions.

Strong Solution Architecture, Integration Architecture or Enterprise Architecture experience.

Oracle R12 experience, ideally in an on-premise environment.

Finance systems transformation experience.

ERP architecture and enterprise application integration experience.

Treasury and/or financial consolidation systems experience.

Strong understanding of data architecture, integration points, database mapping and single source of truth principles.

Enterprise Architecture framework knowledge and experience applying architecture governance.

Experience working in complex, global organisations with fragmented systems and processes.

Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.

Preferred Background

Experience in engineering services, built environment, infrastructure, construction, energy, sustainability, professional services or other project-based organisations.

Experience supporting post-acquisition systems consolidation or transformation.

Exposure to payroll, expenses, time recording and supplier management platforms.
