What's the role?

The HERE WeGo team brings world class HERE products and services to the consumer market. We’re a team of around 20 engineers, designers and product people, fully equipped to bring state-of-the-art location technology to consumers world-wide via our [HERE WeGo Apps- Check the link: https://www.here.com/applications/wego] for Mobile and Web.

Responsibilities:

As part of our cross functional team you will work on a single page web application. You will work closely with designers, engineers and product manager to find the best solution, thereby shaping our apps' offering.

• Lead the way for web Application development: understand requirements and think from the point of view of the user
• Work in a small, cross-functional team to research, design and develop a user-friendly web application
• Build things the right way, by not taking shortcuts or accepting hacks but solving problems at the right level
• Work with modern technology (Typescript and React) to build a clean, well tested code base.
• Handle ambiguity and iterate side-by-side with designers and product managers
• Take end-to-end ownership of your work

Who are you?

You are a team-player who collaborates with developers, testers and product owner to create an amazing user experience. You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle. You have excellent interpersonal skills and feel comfortable coordinating efforts across teams. You are a fast learner and comfortable working with little direction.

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in Web Development
• Experience working on high-quality consumer facing websites
• Excellent knowledge of core web technology (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST)
• Experience with React and Typescript
• Experience with CI/CD (Gitlab, Github, Jenkins or other)
• Very good communication skills, verbal and in writing
