Your Role
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (d/m/w) who will lead a team of software engineers building our next-generation digital platform for our clients. Together with designers, product managers, and your team, you will plan, implement, test, and ship new initiatives to enhance our client-facing products. You are a hands-on leader willing to dedicate time to both development and people management.
You will steer the technical implementation of your team’s roadmap, ensure code and product quality standards are met, and foster an environment of learning and mentoring. Your daily tasks include unblocking your team, providing technical direction, coordinating initiatives, and actively contributing to the codebase. You will support your engineers in growing their skills and guide their personal development.
What exactly will you do?
- Own your team’s domain from a technical perspective and steer the implementation of new features.
- Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and system design, and continuously improve the system architecture.
- Participate in your team’s roadmap development by implementing features, conducting code reviews, and engaging in the full software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide your team members to support their growth and help them plan their careers.
- Provide regular, constructive feedback and be honest when necessary.
What you bring
- Over 5 years of professional experience in full-stack web or mobile application development, with a strong emphasis on clean code principles.
- Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and related technologies; comfortable with backend frameworks like Hono, frontend frameworks like React/React Native, and databases such as PostgreSQL or Redis.
- Experience managing individual engineers or teams, with a proven track record as a mentor.
- A proactive, innovative mindset, ownership of projects, and a commitment to high-quality standards.
- An empathetic leadership style that encourages team members to excel.
