  • A Registered Nurse (NMC registered)

Main duties of the job
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading, developing, and supporting our talented nursing team
  • Coordinating, staffing, and overseeing nurse-led clinics
  • Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, focusing on long-term conditions (especially Diabetes and Asthma)
  • Creating a positive, safe, and forward-thinking working environment
  • Managing day-to-day operations, leading team meetings, and contributing to wider practice leadership
  • Mentoring and supervising student nurses and newly qualified staff
  • Driving innovation and best practice in nursing care
  • Managing resources effectively and supporting recruitment and staff development
  • Working closely with the Practice Manager and GP Partners

Job responsibilities

The post holder is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to the entire practice population. As the team leader for the general practice nursing team, they are accountable for nursing service delivery, leading and managing all nursing resources, and working closely with GPs and the practice manager to deliver patient care. The role focuses on evidence-based practice for patients with acute and chronic conditions, including management and preventative nursing interventions. Collaboration with the entire general practice team is essential to meet patient needs, support procedures, and provide leadership for the nursing team.

The Riverside Practice continually seeks to develop ways of recruiting and retaining a team of clinicians to maintain and enhance our services. We welcome candidates with strong clinical and management skills, as well as a vision for service development and sustainability.
