A leading company in the health sector is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to manage data infrastructure and support marketing initiatives. In this role, you will design data flows between critical systems and lead the Customer Data Platform strategy, ensuring effective coordination among technical teams. The successful candidate will have a solid background in data engineering, cloud technologies, and strong SQL skills, with a focus on marketing applications.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to take ownership of the data infrastructure that supports our marketing tools, including Bloomreach / Exponea, Google Analytics, MentionMe, Knocommerce, IRM, Klar, and more. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing data flows between systems like Magento 2 and BigQuery, leading the Customer Data Platform (CDP) strategy from scoping to execution, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of marketing and tech initiatives.
Take ownership of the data used by Bloomreach / Exponea & the other marketing tools (e.g. Exponea, Google Analytics, MentionMe, Knocommerce, IRM, Klar)
Design the data flows between Magento 2, BigQuery, server-side tracking setup & the marketing tools.
Lead the CDP strategy development from scoping to implementation.
Communicate the strategy & progress to main stakeholders.
Model the data needed for the marketing tools.
Create & schedule pipelines leading to and from the marketing tools.
Initiate & manage projects with technical dependencies between marketing and tech stakeholders.
Coordinate the technical teams involved in the implementation of the projects.
At least 5 years of experience as a data engineer/analytical engineer or data scientist focusing on marketing data & technology.
Solid understanding of Bloomreach, Google BigQuery, GA4, Google feed & other marketing applications.
Solid SQL command: experience with dbt (jinjas, yaml files,etc.).
Solid command of ETL and reverse ETL processes, pipeline building, optimisation & scheduling.
Proven experience developing APIs and marketing tool integrations.
Familiarity with JavaScript and frameworks like React or Angular.
Understanding of web development (HTML, CSS etc.).
