Lead Logistics Coordinator - Dsseldorf

The position holder is responsible for managing a team of Logistics Coordinators that oversee the logistics of several high voltage cable projects. He / she is managing the interfaces between production warehouses / distribution centers transport and construction sites taking into account customer requirements and the use of subcontractors. As a lead logistics coordinator they also take on a leadership role within the logistics team ensuring that strategies for process optimization are implemented and further developed. The Lead Logistics Coordinator is managing a team of Logistics Coordinators that oversee the logistics of several high voltage cable projects.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for planning and monitoring transportation and delivery tasks to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
• Coordination of storage and delivery activities by monitoring warehouse schedules and delivery times.
• Optimization of transport flows regarding routes and loads.
• Ensuring correct implementation of transport permits and necessary transport documentation e.g. by supporting factory traffic.
• Coordination of the return of empty cable drums in collaboration with plant logistics.
• Optimization of planning and tracking concepts.
• Responsibility for logistics key figures towards internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing and developing the logistics team to improve efficiency and performance.
• Developing and implementing strategies for continuous process improvement in logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in business administration or engineering with a focus on logistics as well as several years of professional experience and acquired market knowledge.
• Proven experience in team leadership and managing logistics processes.
• German and English skills: C1 or higher.
• Proactive and forward-thinking approach with economic understanding.
• Customer-oriented demeanor with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Resilience under stress and conflict resolution skills.
• Negotiation skills as well as perseverance and assertiveness.
