In the Liquidity domain, we work daily to help our corporate clients operate more smoothly. The clients benefiting from your work will include well-known multinational corporations, many of which you use products from. Our products include sight deposits, overdrafts, intraday credit facilities, term deposits, and off-balance sheet investments, helping clients make payments to employees, suppliers, and achieve cash management goals.

As a Lead Kotlin/Java Engineer (f/m/x), you will work in a distributed team located in the US, Spain, and Berlin. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from specification and design to implementation and Level 3 production support. The focus will be on designing and delivering reliable, high-performance backend services.

Your key responsibilities

  1. Influence architecture and contribute to defining the future state of the system architecture.
  2. Collaborate with business and IT colleagues on functional and non-functional requirements.
  3. Take full ownership of tasks: design, develop, review, and automate testing of new functionalities. Document requirements, design decisions, and APIs. Work with QA on test automation.
  4. Mentor and guide junior developers as you gain experience in product and architecture.
  5. Have fun and enjoy your work.

Your skills and experiences

  • Extensive knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java, including concurrency.
  • Experience designing and building high-availability solutions and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Solid SQL knowledge (Oracle optimization is a plus), Linux experience.
  • Experience with modern SDLC tools (Bitbucket, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, etc.).
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • People management experience is a plus.
