Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Journey Management Strategist based in Germany.

The Lead Journey Management Strategist will shape how global enterprises use customer journey management to drive strategic transformation and measurable business outcomes. In this senior advisory role, you will partner directly with C-suite executives and enterprise leaders to embed customer-centricity into organizational strategy, operations, and decision-making. You will lead complex, multi-year transformation initiatives spanning customer experience, product, digital, and operational functions. By translating executive priorities into scalable journey-led programs, you will help organizations align stakeholders, strengthen customer value, and achieve sustainable return on investment. You will also influence product strategy, commercial growth, and global best practices while collaborating closely with sales, customer success, and product leadership. Operating with significant autonomy across industries and international markets, you will help establish journey management as essential enterprise infrastructure. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic leader who combines executive influence, commercial acumen, and transformation expertise to shape an emerging business category.

Accountabilities
  • Executive Advisory and Strategic Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and C‑suite stakeholders across strategic enterprise accounts, positioning journey management as a core business capability and long‑term investment rather than a standalone customer experience initiative.
  • Enterprise Transformation: Lead and advise complex, multi-year transformation programs spanning customer experience, product, digital, operations, and organizational change. Translate broad executive ambitions into structured, scalable journey‑led strategies with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Executive Alignment and Governance: Build alignment across diverse executive stakeholders, steering committees, and governance bodies. Facilitate high‑level discussions, resolve competing priorities, and establish shared accountability for enterprise‑wide transformation.
  • Investment Strategy and ROI: Develop compelling business cases, enterprise return‑on‑investment frameworks, and long‑term investment narratives that demonstrate the value of journey management. Identify opportunities for strategic expansion and sustained business impact.
  • Strategic Account Growth: Partner with sales and customer success leadership on executive engagement, renewal strategies, strategic account planning, and multi‑year expansion opportunities. Contribute to improving net revenue retention and strengthening long‑term customer relationships.
  • Product Strategy and Market Insights: Connect enterprise customer needs, market developments, and executive priorities to influence product direction, roadmap decisions, and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Global Frameworks and Best Practices: Define, evolve, and institutionalize journey management methodologies, maturity models, executive coaching standards, and transformation frameworks that can be applied consistently across industries and markets.
  • Thought Leadership and Market Representation: Represent the organization in executive briefings, industry events, strategic discussions, and thought leadership initiatives. Help shape market understanding of journey management and establish its role in enterprise transformation.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customer success, sales, product, and go‑to‑market leadership to align customer strategy, commercial positioning, platform development, and transformation delivery.
  • Outcome Ownership: Take responsibility for strategic outcomes, including executive alignment, multi‑year transformation commitments, enterprise ROI, strategic account expansion, net revenue retention growth, and broader market leadership.
Requirements
  • Executive‑Level Experience: Extensive experience working directly with C‑suite executives and senior leadership teams within large, complex organizations, with the ability to influence strategic decisions and navigate competing business priorities.
  • Enterprise Transformation Expertise: A proven track record of leading or advising multi‑year, enterprise‑scale transformation programs, ideally across customer experience, digital transformation, product strategy, operations, or organizational change.
  • Strategic Background: Experience in senior management consulting, corporate strategy, transformation leadership, or a comparable role involving enterprise‑level advisory and strategic execution.
  • Journey Management and Customer‑Centricity: A deep understanding of customer experience, enterprise operating models, and the ways organizations can embed customer‑centric practices into their structures, processes, and decision‑making.
  • Executive Communication and Influence: Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas, build compelling strategic narratives, challenge assumptions, and influence senior decision‑makers.
  • Commercial and Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of enterprise value creation, long‑term investment strategies, customer retention, and account expansion. Experience developing ROI frameworks, supporting multi‑year commercial growth, and improving net revenue retention is highly valuable.
  • Strategic Account Management: Experience partnering with sales and customer success leaders to develop executive relationships, strengthen strategic accounts, support renewals, and identify long‑term expansion opportunities.
  • Product and Category Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy or roadmap direction and translate customer and market insights into meaningful business and product opportunities.
  • Framework Development and Scaling: Experience defining and scaling best practices, maturity models, methodologies, or transformation frameworks across large organizations, markets, or industries.
  • Autonomy and Accountability: A high degree of independence, sound judgment, and ownership, with the ability to make strategic decisions, establish direction, and deliver long‑term outcomes without relying on predefined playbooks.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to navigate complex, evolving situations, challenge senior stakeholders when necessary, and turn broad strategic ambitions into practical action plans.
  • Market Perspective: A systems‑oriented mindset and the ability to recognize patterns across industries, understand broader market dynamics, and contribute to the development of an emerging business category.
  • External Representation: Confidence representing an organization in senior‑level customer engagements and industry forums, with an interest in developing a visible thought leadership presence.
  • International Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and enterprise customers across multiple markets, communicating clearly in writing and in person.
Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation: Receive a competitive compensation package alongside pre‑IPO equity, offering an opportunity to share in the organization's long‑term success.
  • Fully Remote Work: Work remotely from Europe, with flexible working hours and a strong emphasis on autonomy.
  • Health Insurance: Access health insurance benefits and tailored wellbeing support, designed to accommodate employees across different locations.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: Enjoy a minimum of 25 days of paid annual leave per year, on a pro‑rata basis, in addition to public holidays and three extra days during the annual December winter shutdown.
  • Learning and Development: Benefit from a dedicated professional development budget to support continuous learning, career growth, and the development of role‑specific expertise.
  • Wellbeing Budget: Receive financial support for activities that promote physical and mental wellbeing, including meditation, mindfulness, and gym or yoga memberships.
  • Paid Parental Leave: Benefit from six months of fully paid leave for the primary caregiver and six weeks for the secondary caregiver, as well as paid childcare leave when you need time off to care for an unwell child.
  • Home Office and Coworking Support: Access a budget to create your ideal workspace at home or work from a coworking environment.
  • Company Events and Retreats: Connect with colleagues through regular in‑person gatherings, strategic sessions, and company retreats across European destinations.
  • Modern Technology and Tools: Receive a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro and access collaborative tools that support effective remote and asynchronous work.
  • Evolving Benefits Package: Benefit from a continuously developing package of employee benefits as the organization grows.
  • Inclusive Work Culture: Join an international, distributed team that values transparency, collaboration, accountability, customer‑driven innovation, and diverse perspectives.
  • Employment Type: Full‑time, fully remote position.
