Job Description:

Overview: Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin is a global team of tech specialists focused on financial services innovation using cutting-edge technologies. Our Berlin location is part of our growing global network, committed to diversity and creating opportunities for talented engineers and technologists.

Department: Cash Management IT is undertaking large-scale transformation projects involving application landscape renovation, modular architecture, new product delivery, and foundation for new revenue models.

Position: sDDA is hiring bright backend engineers for projects in the Cash Management domain.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Design and develop new functionality from scratch.
2. Collaborate within and across teams on requirements, analysis, and design.
3. Lead by example with a focus on technical excellence.
4. Document requirements, design decisions, and APIs across system components.
5. Work with QA on test automation.
6. Contribute to defining the future system architecture.

Your skills and experiences:

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Java/Kotlin and knowledge of algorithms/complexity.
2. Experience with Spring, Linux, Maven, Kafka, OpenAPI is a plus.
3. Knowledge of SQL and at least one RDBMS; Oracle is a plus.
4. Experience designing high-availability microservice architectures.
5. Experience with GCP or other cloud providers.

Soft Skills:

1. Problem-solving skills and ownership of tasks.
2. Excellent communication skills, especially in regulated environments.
3. Experience mentoring junior engineers and reviewing designs.
