Payments

Payments is a core product for Cash Management and a key growth area in Deutsche Bank’s strategy. To support our growth ambitions and maintain our position in the competitive payments market, we are investing significantly in Deutsche Bank’s payment infrastructure.

The team delivers key applications in the Payment Integration Platform, which serves as a single entry point for all payments across the entire enterprise, not just Corporate Banking. The applications process over €100 billion in payments monthly across 42 countries in Europe, APAC, and the Americas.

As a Lead Java Engineer (f/m/x), you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of development tasks, from specification and design to implementation and Level 3 production support.

Your key responsibilities

• Collaborate with BAs on functional and non-functional requirements, technical analysis, design, and documentation of business and functional requirements, API, and design decisions.
• Design and develop new functionalities, including coding, testing, and reviewing team members’ changes.
• Work with the QA team on test automation of new and existing functionalities.
• Contribute to defining the future architecture of the system.
• Mentor and guide junior developers as you gain product and architecture experience.
• Provide SL3 (Service Level 3) support for the application.

Your skills and experiences

• Strong math skills and understanding of algorithms and complexity.
• Excellent knowledge of Java.
• Hands-on experience developing large-scale enterprise systems.
• Good knowledge of SQL and Unix.
• Experience implementing fault-tolerant and load-balancing solutions.
