Deutsche Bank maintains high standards of control in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC), and Anti-Fraud, collectively known as Anti-Financial Crime (AFC).

Anti-Financial-Crime (AFC) Technology provides the tools and applications for AFC. The AFC team defines and enforces a risk management framework to prevent financial crime.

As a Lead Engineer, you will lead the development and delivery of key applications essential for Deutsche Bank’s future Anti Financial Crime capabilities.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and deliver core components to transform AFC technology into an industry leader.
• Provide technical leadership to one or two squads of skilled engineers on critical product initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to understand requirements and plan delivery.
• Lead by example, assist developers with high-quality coding and code reviews.
• Ensure development follows best practices and bank standards.

Your skills and experiences

• Proven success in IT project delivery within a robust tech environment, with knowledge of software development best practices and Agile.
• Over 10 years of server-side development experience in Java, SQL, Search, Messaging, with understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and preferably GCP, ReactJS, Python, Big Data.
• Strong organizational, communication skills, and experience leading global teams.
• Experience with TDD/BDD, CI/CD, DevOps/SRE culture.
• Understanding of architecture, emerging technologies, and their business applications.
