Functional area: Engineering

The team “Civil & Electrical Engineering” within the “Wind Turbine, Quality, Civil & Electrical Engineering” Department is seeking a Lead Expert Electrical Components engineer. This role involves driving operational engineering support across Europe and Australia, and optimizing electrical Balance of Plant, including electrical components, for wind, solar, and BESS projects. Responsibilities include developing technical standards, evaluating suppliers, and supporting operational and strategic initiatives.

  • Operational support: Acting as a global technical authority on electrical components, establishing standards, and supporting operational improvements.
  • Assessment and evaluation: Leading prequalification of electrical components, participating in FATs and quality audits, and working with procurement on commercial agreements.
  • Optimization: Identifying technical improvements, standardizing designs, and promoting best practices for cost and reliability enhancements.
  • Industry influence and external representation: Contributing to industry standards, representing the company’s engineering excellence externally, and participating in standard committees.

Your profile:

  • Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience with high-voltage electrical components.
  • Asset management experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial implications and business value of engineering decisions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and intercultural skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
