YOUR MISSION:

PUMA seeks a passionate, creative, and experienced individual to join the Apparel Innovation team at our headquarters in Herzogenaurach. As a Lead Engineer in Apparel Innovation, you will drive the development of functional high-performance sportswear, supporting the Design, Sport Science, and Development teams with innovative concepts. Your role will be crucial in transforming insights into product solutions that meet athlete needs.

• Initiate, drive, and execute Apparel Innovation projects focusing on Teamsports, Running, and Basketball.
• Bridge athlete needs with product functionality.
• Travel regularly to factories and partners in Europe and Asia to develop optimal apparel solutions.
• Utilize Studio 48 and Herzo sample room to develop prototypes aligned with our roadmap.
• Collaborate with teams in Athletes, Sport Science, Design, and Manufacturing to consider all aspects of product solutions.
• Push boundaries and strive for product excellence, paying attention to detail.
• Develop clear arguments for your principles to guide the broader team.
• Work closely with Business partners, Sourcing, and SPOMA teams.

YOUR TALENT:

• BSc or MSc in textile/apparel engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of fabric and garment construction.
• Proficiency with key apparel machinery.
• Technical skills in pattern making and related software.
• Experience in the sportswear industry is a plus.
