In the Cash Data domain, we work daily to help our corporate clients operate smoothly. Our clients include well-known multinational corporates whose products you may use. We provide products such as sight deposits, overdrafts, intraday credit facilities, term deposits, and off-balance sheet investments, aiding clients in payments and cash management.

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will lead a team responsible for building Big Data platform capabilities, including ingestion pipelines, data processing pipelines, and data preparation. You will work on designing a hybrid data platform across Public Cloud and On-premises resources. We seek engineers with strong design and coding skills, teamwork orientation, motivation, and self-drive, with a passion for software engineering and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Create technical design and architecture for a hybrid data platform including GKE, Kafka, distributed Clickhouse database cluster, Airflow/Composer orchestration
• Ensure technology compliance with Bank Standards
• Design for reliability and resiliency: develop SRE stack, drive implementation, ensure stability of key components
• Lead a team of Java Developers & DevOps from implementation to production
• Maintain code quality, refactoring, and engineering best practices

Your skills and experiences

• Experience designing resilient distributed clusters and SRE tools
• Expertise in Java
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably GCP, and experience with Distributed Columnar Databases like Clickhouse
• Proficiency in developing tooling supporting Enterprise Platforms, e.g., automation of backup, smoke-testing, release, rollback, permissions management
• Strong communication skills in English

Additional Skills

• Extensive experience in Core Java / Kotlin
• Knowledge of frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Security, Microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, MQ
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus
• Experience with OLAP databases such as ClickHouse or BigQuery is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English
