A Lead Software Engineer's role is to lead the team in delivering high-quality software solutions by aligning technical vision with business goals, fostering technical excellence, and ensuring a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Your Mission

• Team Leadership and People Management:
• Foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, mentor team members, and guide career development.
• Promote continuous learning and elevate the team’s technical expertise.
• Technical Vision and Implementation:
• Develop and maintain the technical vision aligned with company goals.
• Drive technical decision-making and ensure software designs meet project and business requirements.
• Work hands-on with the team to deliver on the product and technical roadmap.
• Code Quality and Risk Management:
• Ensure adherence to high code quality standards.
• Maintain well-documented technical specifications and architecture.
• Identify and mitigate risks in technical implementations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work with Product Managers and UX/UI Designers on product discovery and prototyping.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies to ensure alignment and value delivery.
• Communicate technical requirements and dependencies across teams.
• Security and Innovation:
• Lead the adoption of secure and appropriate technologies for projects.
• Foster a security-first culture in development.
• Ensure solutions are innovative while meeting technological and security standards.

Your Skills

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in front-end and/or back-end web development based on (e. g.) Python, TypeScript, Angular.
• Leadership Experience
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools, such as Jasmine and Cypress, and the ability to design and implement effective test suites. Unterstanding of implementing and monitoring quality KPIs.
• Ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable software architecture.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies like MongoDB and MySQL
• Ability to implement and enforce code quality standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and its advantages and disadvantages.
• A collaborative team player with a strong focus on customer outcomes and problem-solving.
• You are ambitious, motivated, pay attention to details, question the status quo, and continuously develop yourself further.
• Fluent in English or German.
• You have a startup mentality, teamwork is your superpower, and you are open to a (virtual) after-work drink.
