Your Tasks

• You take on the technical leadership of a seven-member embedded team
• You design and implement software architectures for embedded systems on microcontroller platforms using the C programming language
• You develop safety-critical applications in compliance with IEC 61508 requirements
• You coordinate and optimize the interaction between hardware and software, selecting appropriate interfaces and peripherals
• You analyze and improve system architecture in terms of performance, energy efficiency and safety
• You create safety analyses and documentation
• You support certification processes and audits in the field of functional safety
• You apply security best practices for embedded systems and ideally bring experience in this area

Your Profile

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field
• You have several years of experience in the development of embedded systems using C, particularly on microcontroller platforms such as ARM Cortex or STM32
• You possess strong knowledge of IEC 61508 and have practical experience in its application
• You have a deep understanding of hardware architectures and the ability to translate hardware requirements into software solutions
• You are proficient in communication protocols such as EtherCAT with FSoE, CAN or CANopen Safety, ProfiNet or ProfiSafe, TCP/IP and serial communication
• You have experience with LWIP, FreeRTOS and Embedded Linux, which is advantageous
• You ideally bring experience in security for embedded systems
• You work in a structured manner, have strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts clearly
