BOSS Energy has been retained by a leading Power Systems innovation provider seeking to hire a Senior Project Engineer to join their electrical team.

Responsibilities:

• Planning of protection concepts: Develop effective protection concepts for battery storage systems in medium and high voltage ranges.
• Responsible for planning medium-voltage switchgear, contributing to project safety and efficiency.
• Assist in the construction and commissioning of substations to ensure smooth operations.
• Carry out measurements and troubleshoot low-voltage and control voltage systems.
• Communicate with grid operators and provide technical support for negotiations regarding grid connection contracts.
• Coordinate construction scheduling in collaboration with project management for efficient planning.
• Utilize knowledge of Eplan / AutoCAD for control cabinet planning and documentation.
• Participate in property, earthing, and conduit planning.
• Design cables for low-voltage and medium-voltage systems.
• Carry out commissioning of battery storage systems, including cabling, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of service provider work on construction sites.

Background:

• Degree in electrical engineering (Dipl. Ing., B. Eng, M. Eng) or comparable training with professional experience.
• Experience in battery storage and/or energy system planning is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD planning using Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Eplan.
• Practical experience in measurement and troubleshooting in low voltage systems.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and abroad (20%).
• Class B driver’s license.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, commitment, and sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to learn and ability to work independently.
