Job Description

As Lead Development Tester (f/m/d), your primary objective is to lead a team of embedded Dev Testers and work with producers, developers, artists, and designers to ensure the quality and stability of new online features and game content across multiple platforms (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X) while coordinating with various co-dev partners around the world.

What you will do:

1. Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team, focusing on leadership growth for succession planning
2. Connect and partner up with teams across Ubisoft to drive quality initiatives
3. Lead test development, estimation, planning, execution, and reporting, while promoting best practices
4. Ensure creation, validation and regular maintenance of test plans and tests cases and implement process improvements
5. Manage testing schedules and coordinate activities with external and internal functional teams.
6. Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure timely deliverables
7. Prepare regular reports and dashboards to monitor and control KPIs and recommend corrective actions as needed
8. Oversee defect management and keep testing processes up to date
9. Conduct performance assessments and guide team development
10. Analyse game quality, usability, and risks, providing insights and recommendations
11. Monitor and control quality metrics for game content and team performance

Qualifications

What you bring:

1. Experience leading test teams: 3+ years
2. Experience in game/software testing: 5+ years
3. Experience with testing in Engine (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engines)
4. Knowledge of gaming platforms (Xbox Series X, PS5, PC, etc) and first parties’ development
5. Proficiency in issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello, Bugzilla)
6. Experience with test management tools (e.g. TestRail, Xray)
7. Demonstrated experience in test planning for complex features/systems
8. Proficiency to work in spoken and written English
9. Worked on at least one title as testing lead from production to release, preferably multiplayer online
10. Passion for video games and software quality
11. Any coding knowledge: XML/HTML, JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++/C#, SQL is a plus
12. Certification in any of the following: PMP, Scrum Master, ISTQB-ATM is a plus
13. Experience with automation test tools and methods is a plus
14. Familiarity with Ubisoft's line of products and services is a plus
15. Experience working in global teams is a plus
