Job Description:

MAJOR FUNCTION

This is independent, complex, and highly specialized case management/counseling work related to the Project Anchor grant between Tallahassee Community College and the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing direction, delegating tasks among career navigators, developing staff training, and leading meetings. Creating troubleshooting strategies and implementing quality assurance measures.
2. Reviewing and processing referrals and documents, assisting with registration, responding to inquiries, and working closely with instructors and staff to ensure student success.
3. Making referrals, coordinating with partners, providing community resources, and guiding students on options for education and employment pathways.
4. Developing tailored success plans for youth, assisting with enrollment documentation, and securing work-based learning opportunities.
5. Coordinating services with a team, maintaining databases, developing automated communications, and liaising with external stakeholders.
6. Advising students on academic requirements, interpreting test scores and transcripts, and assisting with college credit options and dual enrollment.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, or a related field with four years of related experience, or a Master's degree with three years of related experience.
