JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Diabetes Care, Abbott GmbH is looking for a Lead Business Validation (m/f/d), based in Wiesbaden.

Primary Objective of Position

As a Lead Business Validation, you will be responsible for overseeing the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process for our e-Commerce environment to ensure that the final product meets the business requirements and is ready for deployment. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing the Business Validation team (external), and ensuring that all testing activities are completed on time.

Major Accountabilities

• Lead and manage a team of Business Validation testers, including planning, scheduling, and executing UAT activities.
• Ownership of defining UAT strategy, scope and approach for product roadmap to ensure efficient validation process for on-time delivery and avoid duplication of effort
• Ownership of stability of product by liaising with Product Owner, Business analyst, Architects and QA team
• Develop and maintain UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure they are met.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring they are resolved before product release.
• Provide regular status reports on UAT progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Continuously improve UAT processes and methodologies.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for improving application usability and performance.
• Collaborate with QA testing teams to efficiently work together and make use of each other’s efforts.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

Background

TECHNICAL SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED:

• Proficiency in UAT methodologies and tools.
• Experience with test management software (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/TRAINING PREFERRED:

• Knowledge of database querying (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages.
• Experience with automation testing tools is an advantage.
• Certified test management trainings ( TOSCA, CTFL-AT)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing in the e-commerce area with at least 2 years as a business validation lead or management role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading UAT efforts for complex projects.
• Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills / teamwork spirit
