We develop the most successful email and cloud services in Germany - GMX and WEB.DE - and are currently looking for a Lead Android Developer. You have the possibility to work on-site in Munich or Berlin or full remote within Germany. As a member of the cross-functional agile Android Mobile Development team (10 people), your work will be geared towards advancing the worldwide success of our products. By deploying and utilizing leading-edge technologies, you will be designing and developing new functionalities for more than 13 million domestic GMX, WEB.DE, and mail.com Android users worldwide. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of "slack" days to try out new technologies, develop pet projects, work with open-source projects, and actively improve your knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Further develop our email and cloud apps by writing structured, testable, and maintainable code in Kotlin.
2. Actively contribute to technical decisions, process improvements, and participate in cross-team initiatives.
3. Own the app architecture and ensure our apps are up to date with the latest technologies.
4. Take responsibility for driving various technical topics.
5. Enrich our products with your own ideas and provide technically sound feedback to product owners and UI/UX regarding new and existing features.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in native Android software development.
• Outstanding knowledge of software design and architecture principles, Kotlin, Java, and Android-specific tech stack (e.g., Jetpack, Coroutines, Dagger2).
• Rich theoretical and practical knowledge in Unit and Integration Tests, Continuous Integration, and Delivery. Knowledge of UI testing frameworks is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with REST-APIs.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in multinational, cross-functional Scrum teams.
