This position can be office-based or fully remote from Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, or the UK.

Join our Finance, Strategy, & Legal team to leverage your expertise in investigating problems, defining solutions, and guiding decisions as Personio’s co-pilots.

We seek a highly motivated Lead Accounts Receivable who will play a key role in our Accounting team, leading and developing the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, timely collection of receivables, and developing scalable processes for growth.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

• Lead and develop the accounts receivable team with approximately six direct reports.
• Manage daily accounts receivable operations, including revenue recognition, payment reconciliation, and cash collection.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements related to accounts receivable.
• Conduct analyses and prepare high-quality reports for management.
• Implement, optimize, automate, and monitor accounts receivable processes and controls.
• Lead strategic projects related to accounts receivable.
• Serve as the main contact for internal and external stakeholders, including tax consultants and auditors.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally in a fast-growing B2B tech, SaaS, or software environment.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, with proven experience in revenue recognition and cash collection.
• Leadership experience in managing teams.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management and analytics, with a detail-oriented, holistic approach.
• Ability to understand both detailed and broad company perspectives.
• Effective task prioritization skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with Workday Financials is a plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Fluent in English and preferably German.
