DeepDrive GmbH sucht eine Fachkraft für das Laser-Schweißen von Statorwicklungen am Standort Garching. Sie betreiben, warten und entwickeln Schweißprozesse weiter und begleiten Trials bis zur Serienreife.

Die Tätigkeit verbindet praktische Schweißarbeiten mit Prozessentwicklung und erfordert eine enge Zusammenarbeit im Process Development Team. Sie verfügen über mehr als 3 Jahre Praxis im industriellen Laserschweißen, idealerweise mit TRUMPF-Systemen, und bringen Deutsch- sowie

Qualifications

• Abgeschlossene technische Ausbildung oder ein Studium in Ingenieurwesen bzw. einem verwandten Bereich.
• Mindestens 3 Jahre praktische Erfahrung im industriellen Laserschweißen.
• Nachweisliche Erfahrung in der Optimierung von Schweißparametern und eigenständiger Problemlösung.
• Idealerweise Erfahrung im scannerbasierten Remote-Schweißen.
• Erfahrung mit TRUMPF-Lasersystemen, inkl. TruControl, VisionLine, OCT und NC-Programmierung ist von Vorteil.
• Erfahrung im Schweißen von Kupfer, z. B. Hairpin-Statoren, Batterie, Busbar o. ä. ist Plus.
• Vertrautheit mit Automotive-Qualitätsmethoden (PFMEA, MSA, Prüfanweisungen) ist Plus.
• Kenntnisse in kamera-basierten Qualitätsprüfungen und Inline-Prozessüberwachung sind Plus.
• Strukturierte, praxisnahe Arbeitsweise und hohe Qualitätsorientierung; Erfahrungen z. B. aus Formula Student oder Motorsport hilfreich.
• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse.

Responsibilities

• Betrieb, Einrichtung und Wartung unserer Laser-Schweißanlage.
• Schweißen von Kupferverbindungen, Parameterstudien, Optimierung und Weiterentwicklung.
• Planung und Durchführung von Schweißversuchen mit Auswertung der Ergebnisse.
• Analyse von Prozessabweichungen, Ursachenfindung und Implementierung von Korrekturmaßnahmen.
• Herstellung von Mustern für Kundenprojekte mit konsistenter, dokumentierter Qualität.
• Erstellung und Pflege von Prozessdokumentationen wie Parametersätze, Arbeitsanweisungen und Prüfergebnissen.
• Beitrag zu PFMEA und Prüfplänen.
• Enge Abstimmung mit Design, Qualität und Industrialisierung, um neue Stator-Designs schon beim Start schweißbar zu machen.

About the Job

In this role, you strengthen one of the most critical steps in our stator production: the laser welding of the stator winding.

You run our welding processes reliably, develop them further and support them from the first trials through B-samples for customer projects all the way to series application.

The role combines hands-on welding operations with process development work, with the balance depending on your experience.

You’ll join our Process Development team in Garching, where we build samples up to B-phase in-house and develop the manufacturing processes for later series production. Working hand in hand with the team, you make sure our welding process is applied, optimized and continuously improved, from in-house sample builds to series readiness.

Your Tasks

• Operate, set up and maintain our laser welding equipment
• Apply, optimize and further develop welding processes for copper connections, including parameter studies
• Plan and run welding trials and evaluate the results using appropriate analytical and testing methods
• Analyze process deviations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Build samples for customer projects with consistent, documented quality
• Create and maintain process documentation such as parameter sets, work instructions and test results
• Contribute to PFMEA and test plans
• Work closely with design, quality and industrialization to make new stator designs weldable from the start

Your Profile

• Completed technical training (e.g. laser technician, mechatronics technician, precision mechanic) or a degree in engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial laser welding
• Experience in optimizing welding parameters and solving process issues independently
• Ideally, experience in scanner-based remote welding
• Experience with TRUMPF laser systems, including programming TruControl, VisionLine, OCT and NC programming, is a strong plus
• Experience in welding copper, ideally from hairpin stator, battery, busbar or comparable applications, is a plus
• Familiarity with automotive quality methods (PFMEA, MSA, control plans) is a plus
• Experience with camera-based quality inspection and inline process monitoring is a plus
• Structured, hands-on way of working and a strong quality mindset, whether from industrial production, prototyping, or hands-on projects like Formula Student or motorsport
• Good German and English skills
