Qualifications

• Completed technical college training in mechanical engineering or as an industrial mechanic.
• Welding master or welding technician is desirable.
• Knowledge of KUKA robot programming/handling with path planning and CAD/CAM basics.
• Experience in additive manufacturing and/or laser hardfacing advantages.
• Strong quality mindset, responsibility, teamwork and social skills.
• Good spoken and written English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Hardfacing with laser wire and laser powder on robot-guided or CNC systems.
• TIG hardfacing with wire on CNC or robot-guided systems.
• Welding and parameter development for MMA, MIG, MAG, PTA and laser.
• Reverse engineering and CAD/CAM system integration.
• Carry out feasibility studies and testing of new materials and parameters.
• Test innovations in materials, systems technology and demonstrations.
• Manufacture customer parts and perform cell commissioning and support.
• Document results of welding processes and tests.
