Ausschreibungsbereich: Wer darf sich bewerben? INNERBETRIEBLICHE Arbeitnehmer in Deutschland (Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany) – within Germany, including all local national employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany (U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe). UND/ANDAUSSERBETRIEBliche Bewerber, die in Deutschland wohnhaft sind (EXTERNAL Local National Applicants residing in Germany).

Responsibilities
  • Maintains adequate stock of perishable and non-perishable subsistence items.
  • Replenishes depleted stock with incoming items or by obtaining stock from storage areas and transporting to shelving or display areas.
  • Uses cart and manual or electric pallet jacks to move items; places price labels on shelves and performs price verification.
  • Scans product codes, compares with label prices, and reports discrepancies to management; adjusts pricing as instructed.
  • Arranges stock on shelves or displays, rotates stock by age and freshness; inspects for damaged, spoiled, or out-of-date merchandise and refers items as needed.
  • May assist in unloading shipments and checking stock; uses handheld terminals to scan UPC codes and enter quantities received.
  • Prints reports and verifies totals with delivery tickets; informs management of discrepancies.
  • Moves stock to temporary or permanent storage; stacks containers by commodity, brand, and size; participates in inventories.
  • Responds to patron questions, provides locations and prices, and checks item availability; escalates unresolved issues to supervision.
  • Ensures produce/meat cases are stocked and maintained; inspects for signs of deterioration and reports findings.
  • Reviews temperature control devices and records temperatures in temperature-controlled areas as required.
  • Performs sanitation tasks, cleans display areas and shelves, and contributes to overall cleanliness and security of merchandise.
  • Picks curbside and online orders using designated software and handheld scanner; bags items, adjusts weights/quantities as needed.
  • Contacts customers regarding substitutions or item availability; processes orders in staging area and assists with pickup or delivery to customer vehicle; may operate a cash register and process various payment methods.
  • Delivers high-quality products and services and supports continuous improvement; performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Language: English Language Proficiency level B1 required.
  • Experience: E&T Level I requires 6 months of General Experience (simple office or store work not requiring specific field knowledge). For current internal employees in similar positions who lack E&T Level I, an additional 2 years of general experience is required.
  • E&T Level II and above: No additional experience required.

Employment Conditions

This is a temporary part-time position (20 hours/week) until the return of the permanent incumbent, not to exceed 31 July 2026. Working on weekends and holidays, nights, and rotating shifts is required. Lifting up to 50 lbs (up to 22 kg) is required.
