Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is seeking a highly motivated LabVIEW control and systems integration engineer (m/f/d) for a 12-month temporary position in Augsburg, Germany. Join our team to work on innovative space launch solutions, supporting demanding prototyping and critical test campaigns in a dynamic, international environment.

Your Tasks
  • Program bespoke test, embedded, and distributed control systems using LabVIEW on Windows, Real-Time, and FPGA platforms
  • Create TCP/IP and UDP communication libraries
  • Develop robust, modular, and reusable code libraries
  • Select, interface, test, and validate DAQ and control system hardware
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and meet test system specifications
  • Read and produce wiring and circuit diagrams
Your Qualifications
  • Degree in software engineering, robotics, electronic engineering, mechatronics, automation, or related field; postgraduate degree is a plus
  • LabVIEW training and certifications (e.g., CLAD, LabVIEW Programming badges)
  • Experience programming large-scale applications with National Instruments LabVIEW on Windows, Real-Time, and FPGA platforms (cRIO, cDAQ, sbRIO)
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing electrical/electronic issues with test equipment
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with sensors, transducers, actuators; FPGA interfacing and custom RIOMezzanine cards are advantageous
  • Practical experience in control cabinet assembly is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, social intelligence, and ability to work independently and in teams
  • Willingness to travel to test and launch sites for extended periods
