The Role

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Research & Development team in Midsomer Norton. This role is part of our innovative team contributing to the growth of our business.

Responsibilities

1. Develop new products for the aqueous inks and textiles markets aligned with company strategy.
2. Develop and maintain application testing protocols, equipment SOPs, and perform daily laboratory tasks.
3. Work on formulation and research of new and existing products.
4. Collaborate with internal and external customers to advance product development, especially in the Industrial InkJet segments.
5. Apply scientific knowledge to problem-solving situations.
6. Provide project updates and communicate regularly with project leaders.
7. Support product compliance, safety, and technical aspects.

Qualifications / Experience

• Practical laboratory experience.
• Minimum 5 GCSEs (A*-C / 4+) with science subjects; A Levels in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related discipline preferred.
• Degree in Chemistry or a related science field preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to devise test methods, analyze results, and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong team player with ownership and responsibility for work.
• Ambitious, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback.
