The Position

Oversee a dual‑specialty pathology and immunoassay laboratory, ensuring operational excellence across the Histology/Pathology and Immunoassay/Chemistry departments, while maintaining compliance with ISO15189, CAP, and CLIA regulations.

The Opportunity

Lead a dual‑specialty laboratory at the forefront of the industry, overseeing two critical domains.

• Anatomic Pathology: Managing high‑complexity tissue‑based diagnostics, including advanced Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and In Situ Hybridization (ISH).
• Immunoassay Excellence: Driving peaks of operational efficiency on state‑of‑the‑art cobas® platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Visionary Operational Leadership: Supervise the daily “rhythm” of the laboratory, synchronizing pathology and immunoassay workflows to ensure competitive turnaround times.
• Guardian of Quality: Maintain an “inspection‑ready” culture, serving as the primary lead for CAP/CLIA and ISO 15189 audits.
• Champion of People: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of laboratory scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Strategic Technical Oversight: Manage the validation and implementation of new assays and novel platforms, ensuring every piece of equipment is a high‑performing component of the diagnostic system.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related Biological Science; a Master’s (MHA/MBA) or PhD highly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Proven expertise in both anatomic pathology and automated immunoassay workflows.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Track record of zero‑deficiency inspections and passion for navigating the complexities of emerging global regulations.
