Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company and a leader in plasma-derived and recombinant therapeutic products, operating in over 100 countries. The company is dedicated to treating rare and serious diseases and improving patients' quality of life worldwide.
For the Marburg site (Recombinant and Gene Therapy Product Development Department), we seek a Laboratory Technician (m/f/d) for a fixed-term contract of 18 months, starting as soon as possible.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform experimental routine testing of development samples, operate complex analytical instruments and software, including HPLC (RPLC, CEX, AAA, SEC), ELISA, and automated liquid handling stations (TECAN, Hamilton).
- Check raw data and report electronically, monitor and control method performance.
- Maintain and calibrate instruments; handle general lab coordination activities.
- Interpret scientific data, support analytical root-cause investigations, and propose next steps.
- Assist with general lab tasks such as buffer preparation.
- Communicate effectively with customers and project teams, both written and oral.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong technical/scientific background in life sciences, preferably protein biochemistry or biotechnology.
- Experience in executing complex bioanalytical methods in the lab.
- Proficiency with bioanalytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, CE-SDS) and automated liquid handling systems.
- Knowledge of standard software (MS Office), laboratory software (ELN), statistical tools (Jmp), and scripting skills relevant for data science.
- A motivated, reliable, detail-oriented personality with solid bioanalytical expertise and quick learning ability.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Experience in sample management.
- Passion for addressing unmet medical needs.
- Typically completed 3.5 years of training, e.g., as a biology laboratory technician.
- Over 5 years of project experience in product development with relevant methods and systems.
- Fluent in English; German is beneficial.
