Duties Description:

• Supervise clerical and administrative support staff in a UIAB satellite office or regional units.
• Perform and supervise clerical tasks for intake, judicial documents, and calendars, ensuring compliance with UIAB rules.
• Prepare, review, and process hearing and appeal documents.
• Respond to customer inquiries about the hearing/appeal process.
• Analyze reports related to UIAB processes and timelines.
• Review case files for accuracy before scheduling hearings or assigning cases.
• Handle correspondence from claimants, employers, attorneys, and representatives, taking appropriate action.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position is part of the NY HELPS program. Qualifications vary based on the level:

Labor Services Representative Trainee 1:

• Bachelor's degree or higher.

Labor Services Representative Trainee 2:

• Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in employment services, UI claims, outreach, or related fields.
• Degree must be from an accredited institution or verified if outside the US.
• Employees may transition to permanent status and participate in promotional exams.

Other qualifications include reassignments, transfers, and eligibility verification. Preferred skills include stakeholder relationship management, proficiency in Microsoft applications, and customer service experience.
