We are looking to hire a Lab Technician / Lab Assistant (f/d/m) to support the installation of Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) hardware and components for our quantum devices. If you're passionate about creating technologies that can change the world, we would love to hear from you!

What You’ll Accomplish :
  • Assist with the assembly and integration of mechanical, optical, electronic, and cryogenic systems.
  • Assemble mechanical components and source parts based on specifications.
  • Support test setups, organize test spaces, book equipment, procure materials, and monitor tests.
  • Maintain and organize lab resources, including supplies for assemblies and testing.
  • Ensure lab facilities comply with health and safety standards.
  • Implement 5S principles to maintain an efficient and clean workspace.
  • Participate in facilities planning, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation to support safety priorities.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team of quantum, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
Requirements

  • Experience maintaining safe and efficient work environments, including health and safety management.

  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly and integration with electrical or optical systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented attitude.
Nice-to-have Skills :
  • Knowledge of mechanical test setups and system perspectives.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret specifications.
  • Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical or optical systems.
  • Basic CAD skills for designing mechanical components.
  • Experience with thermal management and cooling systems.
  • Familiarity with lasers, optical components, and alignment systems, including troubleshooting and measurements.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for data analysis.
  • Degree or coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Quantum/Optical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
