Cognizant Life Sciences Manufacturing is seeking a LabVantage LIMS Business Analyst to bridge laboratory users with technical teams in Germany. You will gather requirements, document URS/FRS/user stories, and ensure compliance with GxP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 across IT/OT/IoT environments.

You will configure LabVantage modules, support data migration, and collaborate with SAP, MES, CDS, ELN, and other systems while contributing to validation and UAT/SIT activities.

The LabVantage LIMS Business Analyst serves as the bridge between laboratory business users and technical implementation teams. The role focuses on understanding laboratory workflows, gathering and documenting business requirements, configuring and validating LabVantage LIMS solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical, and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from laboratory stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops with Quality Control (QC), R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance teams.
• Translate business requirements into User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and user stories.
• Analyze existing laboratory processes and recommend optimized LIMS-enabled workflows.
• Configure and support LabVantage LIMS modules based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, testers, and validation teams during implementation.
• Support data migration, master data management, and system integration with enterprise applications such as SAP, MES, CDS, ELN, SDMS, and laboratory instruments.
• Develop business process documentation, SOPs, workflow diagrams, and training materials.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and defect management.
• Ensure solutions comply with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+, and data integrity requirements.
• Provide post-implementation support, issue analysis, and continuous process improvements.
• Coordinate with global project teams using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

Requirements:

• Experience with LabVantage configuration and administration.
• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
• Experience with data migration and ETL processes.
• Understanding of laboratory instrument integrations.
• Knowledge of validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Business Analysis certifications such as IIBA CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are an advantage.
• German speaking is essential.
• Eager to learn and keep up to date with technology evolution.
