Job Description:

Marmon Foodservice Technologies Europe GmbH is seeking a Lab Engineer to coordinate testing and validation of new product development projects, support VAVE initiatives, and ensure quality standards such as ISO 17025. The role involves planning and executing tests, reporting results, developing reliability fixtures, and participating in cross-functional activities like failure analysis and quality improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all testing activities as per project plan
  • Plan, execute, and report test results
  • Participate in prototype build and design validation
  • Develop reliability fixtures and evaluate failures
  • Participate in failure analysis, quality issues, and VAVE opportunities
  • Implement laboratory processes according to ISO 17025
  • Manage calibration and instrumentation needs

Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (electrical, mechanical, etc.)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles
  • Experience with laboratory measurement instruments (temperature, electrical, pressure)
  • Knowledge of fluid handling and refrigeration systems (a plus)
  • Familiarity with lab practices like 5S, Kanban, lean
  • Knowledge of environmental chambers (a plus)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a benefit
  • Knowledge of international test standards (IEC/UL/ISO) is desired
