KZA_ Head of Supply Chain - South Africa

Job Overview

Responsible for the Strategic Supply Chain targets as per Krones Global Strategy. Lead Purchasing, Warehousing and Logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieve annual cost saving targets through effective management, vendor negotiations, stock control and process management.
  2. Identify and analyze processes and procedures to improve efficiencies, both internally and externally.
  3. Ensure continuous learning and development of employees, including talent reviews, succession planning, and career pathing.
  4. Support and ensure SHE requirements are adhered to throughout Supply Chain Management.
  5. Oversee import and exports with freight forwarders and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  6. Support Krones Regional Head Office (MEA) & Krones Head Office (KAG) material management strategy.
  7. Manage inventory and dead stock to meet Global KPIs, including reporting.
  8. Establish good business relationships with internal and external customers.
  9. Optimize purchasing initiatives ensuring best practices and contractual compliance.
  10. Conduct interviews and negotiations with vendor representatives.
  11. Ensure compliance of specifications for equipment and services.
  12. Drive optimization of purchasing processes, inventory management, and supplier management.
  13. Establish measurable performance metrics for procurement activities.
  14. Manage local manufacturing and quality of equipment and components.
  15. Control procurement spend and ensure optimal payment terms.
  16. Attain required BBBEE procurement vendor targets.
Your Profile
  1. Degree in Business Admin/Commerce or Supply Chain Management.
  2. 8-10 years of work experience.
  3. Experience in Food, Beverage or Packaging industry; Supply Chain Management; Management.
  4. Process and structural knowledge.
  5. Knowledge of business administration.
  6. Understanding of laws, directives, guidelines, and standards.
  7. Strong social skills and capacity for teamwork.
  8. Learning aptitude and leadership skills.
  9. Coordination and organizational skills.
