Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing distributed, secure computing infrastructures for applications like machine learning, high-performance computing, and sensitive information sharing
• Developing and integrating software components for systems of various sizes with team members
• Analyzing system requirements and planning software solutions to meet customer needs
• Automating security and code quality tests and integrating them into the development process
• Conducting research to improve system performance and security in areas such as operating systems, compilers, and software engineering

Requirements:

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and teamwork abilities
• Technical knowledge in operating systems, communication systems, security, or privacy-enhancing technologies
• Experience with containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems such as Ubuntu, Debian, or Arch
• Knowledge of distributed computing networks and designing secure, high-performance systems
• Understanding of computer architecture and hardware/software interfaces
• Excellent programming skills in Python and a strongly typed language like C/C++, Go, or Rust
• Proficiency in German and very good English skills
