Scope of duties
  • Key responsibilities include independently leading a junior research group investigating the role of microbiota in the progression from gastritis to gastric carcinoma.
  • The focus will include the characterization of gastric microbiota, the interaction of Helicobacter pylori with microbiota, and the establishment and functional analysis of human gastric organoid models.
  • The aim is to identify novel diagnostic biomarkers and enhance the understanding of mechanisms underlying gastric carcinogenesis.
Our requirements
  • Required qualifications include an excellent medical doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., microbiology, immunology).
  • Candidates must have clinical experience in the field of gastroenterology.
  • At least one year of postdoctoral experience is required.
  • A proven publication record is expected.
  • Applicants should submit a compelling research proposal.
  • Experience in molecular biology, microbiological techniques, and microbiome analyses is required.
  • Knowledge of organoid models and metabolomics is desired.
  • Applicants are expected to possess excellent English language skills.
  • They must demonstrate strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Candidates should be willing to contribute to teaching and junior researcher mentorship.
