Qualifikationen

  • Experience in orthopaedic, concussion, neurological, or mental health practice.
  • Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability.

Jobbeschreibung

POSITION: REGISTERED KINESIOLOGIST
LOCATION: Nordel
STATUS: CONTRACTOR

Clinical duties include:
  1. Evidence-based assessment and treatment services for clients who have sustained a variety of injuries and conditions, usually with a goal of assisting them to return to work.
  2. Implement, monitor, and progress exercise and work simulation programs.
  3. Manage resources, schedule clients, track attendance, ensure report timeliness, and communicate with stakeholders (insurance company, employer, physician, etc.) in conjunction with the team Physiotherapist.
  4. Develop structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
  5. Monitor GRTW plans to facilitate successful outcomes.
  6. Work with clients referred by ICBC.
  7. Provide personal training and individualized kinesiology services.
  8. Work independently and as part of a team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Counselors, and Administrative Staff to assist clients in returning to work and improving quality of life.
Qualifications
  1. Knowledge and/or experience in evidence-based orthopaedic, concussion, neurological, or mental health practice with a strong emphasis on active rehabilitation.
  2. Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability.
Education:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent.
Memberships & Associations:
  • Registration with BCAK, required.
