Job Description: Key Account Manager - Mobility & Healthcare

The Nippon Express Group is a leading global logistics service provider headquartered in Tokyo, offering services including air and ocean freight forwarding, cargo handling, removal services, and warehouse operations. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager for the Mobility & Healthcare sector to join our international team. This strategic role involves shaping and executing sales and business development strategies within the Mobility Vertical, focusing on global and European-based clients in the healthcare sector.

The successful candidate will leverage Nippon Express's logistics and supply chain solutions to serve key accounts, working closely with existing and potential customers to foster industry-specific solutions and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customer acquisition strategies using consultative sales techniques.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the Mobility and Healthcare sectors.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with regional and global key accounts.
  • Coordinate with international sales teams to ensure a unified sales approach.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across all Nippon Express services (Air, Ocean, Rail, Logistics, Road).
  • Manage sales pipelines, RFQs, and reporting via CRM tools.
  • Develop and execute key account management plans.
  • Monitor sales performance, revenue targets, and profitability for assigned accounts.
  • Provide market insights and strategic input to product and tender teams.
  • Conduct regular customer reviews and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new business from sales to operations in collaboration with implementation teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events, workshops, and exhibitions to enhance market presence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Industry certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Deep understanding of trade lane dynamics in the Mobility and Healthcare industries.
  • Knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, and integrated logistics business models.
  • At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or a related logistics environment.
  • Proven sales success; experience in the Mobility sector or capital equipment markets is highly desirable.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience, including decision-making, stakeholder management, and team motivation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, peers, and senior management.
