We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our Sales team. This field-based role covers key hospital accounts across Bavaria in Germany and offers the chance to drive strategic engagement and market access for our infectious disease portfolio.

About the Role

As Key Account Manager (KAM) for Bavaria, you will be responsible for developing strategic hospital account plans, driving formulary inclusion, and building strong stakeholder relationships to maximise product uptake and market share.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key Bavarian hospitals to ensure formulary inclusion and product uptake.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder networks across your territory.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Science Liaisons, Marketing, and other internal teams to align on strategic priorities.
  • Identify and engage brand advocates to support national and regional brand initiatives.
  • Represent Shionogi at relevant national congresses and regional conferences.
  • Drive commercial success by achieving sales targets and increasing market share.
  • Analyse data to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and inform strategic decisions.
What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a commercially driven and strategic professional with:
  • Approval as a scientific sales representative under §75 Arzneimittelgesetz (Germany)
  • A Master's or PhD in pharmacy, biology, or medicine.
  • Proven commercial experience in the hospital market in Bavaria, ideally in infectious diseases or hemato-oncology.
  • Demonstrated track record in successfully managing, developing, and growing key accounts.
  • Confident in navigating complex healthcare environments and building long-term relationships with HCPs and key-decision-makers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and consultative sales skills.
  • A results-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
  • Fluency in German and English.
