- Develops contacts and relationships with new and existing customers to sell products, introduce new or alternative product lines, and grow sales in alignment with the Sr Sales Manager. Grows and maintains sales by ensuring the effective allocation of sales for potential new and existing customers.
- Research, analyses, and reports on industry trends and data that impact business' volume, margins, utilization, and market share.
- Develop and manage the current / future Germany sales force.
- Ensure business achievements in terms of sales, volumes, operative profit and gross margin targets.
- Manages the development of customers by profiling and targeting market segments, attending industry and trade shows, and networking within the industry and business.
- Manages the execution of multiple sales and related business strategies by streamlining programs, overseeing implementation, and coordinating activities.
- Develops and delivers business plans for specific market opportunities.
- Critically reviews progress against plan to continuously assess commercial potential, adjusting as necessary to assure optimal profitability.
- Identifies and develops potential internal and external strategic partners in development of business opportunities.
- Collects and analyses market and / or customers validation data that can support decisions regarding specific opportunities or ventures. Applies a working understanding of product lines and application methods and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Develop the regional pricing strategy, and within the organization drive adherence to that strategy. Ensure price architecture is robust for the multiple channels of distribution for the business line and remains current with market fluctuations.
- Support the achievement of sales’ objectives serving as cross-functionally partner with Sherwin-Williams organization.
- Drive consistent metrics and processes for margin improvement. Proactively analyse pricing impact and P&L deviation.
- Provides input to R&D function to prioritize product development, and define strategic market analysis regarding product line development, costing and pricing.
- Develop and maintain reports that capture market and product analysis to reflect target markets, product development, costing and pricing, sales, and market forecasts.
- Prepare and monitor periodic financial management reports to measure product sales activity, year-to-date performance against budget, market conditions, and competition metrics.
- Support GI EMEAI Marketing in defining promotional tools and sales tactics to drive sales growth through product pricing, promotional tactics, and distribution channels.
POSITION CHALLENGES : Effectively interface closely with Finance, Labs, Sales, Ops., Supply Chain, and other functions. Ensures customer quality and service expectations are consistently met and eliminates or reduces customer complaints. Ensure area sales targets and goals are achieved within the given timeline. Responsibility for P&L results within Germany.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education :
Required : Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant Science subject, preferably in Chemist, Engineering or Paint Technology.
Preferred : Masters degree in Business Management.
Knowledge & Experience :
Required : Previous Sales / Accounts Management experience is a must (min. 10 years)
Preferred :
- Proven track record in generating opportunities and closing new business.
- Proven track record establishing robust pricing strategies that meet market needs and optimize product margins and profitability.
Technical / Skill Requirements :
